Volunteering opportunities

Volunteers are a really important part of The Pony Club.

Why Volunteer?

  • Learn new skills

  • See different disciplines in action

  • Strengthen your CV content

  • Support your local community

  • Make new friends and have fun!

Ways to volunteer for The Pony Club include:

RDA Volunteering Achievement Badge
The Pony Club and RDA have put together an Achievement Badge to help you get into volunteering called 'The RDA Volunteering Achievement Badge' aimed at Members aged 12 and over.

The badge is awarded following a Member volunteering and training on four separate occasions, at an RDA Group or activity, during a six month period following a set syllabus and recording training and volunteering hours in a Log Book.

The aims of the badge are as follows-

  • to have a basic understanding of RDA & its benefits

  • to be able to demonstrate confidence when volunteering

  • to show good communication skills

  • to take an active role within RDA sessions

  • to volunteer on 4 different occasions

If you are interested in taking the RDA Volunteering Achievement Badge, or have any queries, please contact Michelle on 01669 650470 or email info@morpethhuntpc.co.uk

Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA)
The Young Equestrian Leaders Award is a brilliant way to get the recognition you deserve for all your volunteering with The Pony Club. If you are aged 13 to 25 and already volunteering and helping with sessions at Pony Club you could count those hours towards YELA, with just 20 hours being needed to achieve the Bronze Level.

The award is recognised across all the British Equestrian Federation Member Bodies and looks great on your CV too!

If you are interested in enrolling for YELA, or have any queries, please contact Michelle on 01669 650470 or email info@morpethhuntpc.co.uk
