Spring Festival Training

 

 

 

 

Dressage and SJ training for members wanting to compete in the Spring Festival Qualifiers

 

There are levels for every competitive member depending on eligibility:

·       Arena Eventing – 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 100cm

·       Dressage – Grassroots PC80, Novice, Intermediate and Open

·       Show Jumping – 80cm, 90cm, 100cm and 110cm

All members need to qualify through their Area Competition to get to the final.

 

Dates for the Area 2 Spring Festival qualifying competitions are:

Spring Festival SJ on 28th December at Blackdyke Farm, Carlisle. 

Spring Festival Dressage on 29th December at Benridge Riding Centre

Spring Festival Arena Eventing Qualifier (PC70, 80, 90)11th January at Richmond Equestrian Centre.

Spring Festival Arena Eventing Qualifier (PC100) 1st February at Richmond Equestrian Centre.

 

We have arranged SJ and dressage training dates in the run up to the qualifiers (book via Horse Events)

If you’d like to take part in the qualifiers please let me know so we can make up teams. As the dressage is at Benridge it would be good to see as many of our members taking part as possible.

 

 

For the SJ qualifying classes start at 80cm so you must be able to jump that height.

For dressage qualifying classes start at Grassroots PC80 Dressage test 2018 although there is a Non-Qualifier Class for Preliminary PC70 Dressage Test 2022

 

SPRING FESTIVAL QUALIFYING STAGES

There are two stages of the Barrier Spring Festival competition in England and Wales:

1. Area Competitions will be held any time before 17th February 2025. Members do not need to qualify for their Area Qualifier

2. Those who are successful at their Area Competition will go forward to the Barrier Spring Festival Championships on 1st & 2nd March 2025 at Addington Equestrian

 

The competition comprises:

• The individual competition – the scores for all competitors in the competition automatically count for this competition. It is also open to all competitors in the team competition (below).

• The team competition – open to teams that must consist of three members from each Branch/Centre with all three scores to count.

 

 

Passports and Equine Flu Vaccinations

A reminder that any horse or pony attending a Pony Club activity MUST be accompanied by their passport. The first and second Equine Flu vaccination injections must have been given and, if needed, correct subsequent booster injections,click here for vaccination rules (updated for 2024)
