Senior Camp (31st July – 2nd August)

Senior Camp is for children aged 10 years and over, the children and ponies are encouraged to stay at camp

The ponies stay at camp so the children are responsible for all the duties to look after them such as feeding and mucking out. Experienced help is always on hand and the camp supervisor / instructors will oversee equine welfare and management.

Members will be grouped into rides according to age and experience and will work with different instructors during camp, normally riding twice a day in addition to stable management lessons.

Accommodation is in shared caravans, horseboxes or tents provided by members, but we can always match people up if you have no one to share with.

Meals are eaten in the barn which is our main ‘base’ and used for a number of other activities.

The last day is competition day to which parents are invited along to watch and when everyone can win lots of rosettes.

Senior camp is really good fun and teaches children so much about life and responsibilities. Hopefully everyone goes home happy and very tired!

Parents are expected to help cover the evening supervision if members are to stay overnight at camp!

 Middle & mini camps

Mini camp is for members 6 years and under (25th – 27th July)

Middle camp is for members 9 years and under (28th – 30th July)

At both of these camps children go home each day after tea, although ponies can stay over.

The children are split into groups depending on their age and ability. We have helpers at both of these camps to assist the younger members with various tasks such as tacking up.

There will be various competitions on the last day of camp which parents are invited to come along and watch. Camp is designed to encourage, give confidence and really progress members’ riding and knowledge, but most of all to have fun!

Cost for camp

Senior camp £180

Middle & mini camps £125
