Eventing

If you'd like to be considered for the eventing teams, please send a reply slip to Jane Mancey

Members need to be competing at an appropriate level:

 

   ·  PC80 - Regional  - Dressage- Grassroots Dressage Test 2018

                                      Show jumping- up to 80cms on grass, timed (325m/min)

                                      Cross country- up to 80cms to include combination fences and water;

                                                            ‘L’ alternatives (timed)

 

   ·  PC90 - Area Novice  - SJ max height 0.95m, xc max height 0.90m

                                        PC90 eventing test 2013

  

   ·  PC100 - Area Intermediate - SJ max height 1.05m, xc max height 1.0m, max width 1.1m

                                               PC100 Eventing Test 2015

 

   ·  PC110 - Area Open  - SJ max height 1.15m, xc max height 1.1m, max width 1.25m

                                     PC110 Eventing Test 2010

 

Body protectors used for cross country must meet the BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple tag).

 

 

Showjumping

If you'd like to be considered for the showjumping teams, please send a reply slip to Jane Mancey

Members need to be competing at the level they are interested in:

 

   ·  Regional competition (max height 0.80m) - open to any age of rider who hasn't competed at novice level or above in an area competition. Combination to have no British Show Jumping recorded results at 90cm or above

  • Open to any age of Member (Branch or Centre) with any size of horse or pony.
  • At the time of the Area competition rider must not have previously represented their Branch or Centre at Novice level or above in any of Dressage, Show Jumping or Eventing Area Competitions.

 

   ·  Novice competition - max height 0.95m

   ·  Intermediate competition - max height 1.05m

   ·  Open (Area) competition - max height 1.15m

 

Dressage

Tetrathlon

Tetrathlon consists of cross-country riding, shooting, swimming and running. Training will be provided for each phase. Please email Michelle Macaulay if you're interested.

There are 4 classes:

Open Boys 25 & under 1 handed 4 mins 3000m 1.00m max
  Girls 25 & under 1 handed 3 mins 1500m 1.00m max

 

Games

Practices are under way, organised by Charlotte Robson

 

Ages:

   ·  Juniors - aged 10 years & under on 1 January

   ·  Seniors - 11-14 years old on 1 January

You must be able to:

   ·  ride safely in canter (off lead rein)

   ·  mount unaided

Your pony must be ridden in a snaffle bit

 

 

To be eligible to represent our branch at Area competitions, members and their ponies must have completed at least 3 rallies since July 2017, one of which must be this year. Camp counts as 1 and you must have renewed your membership before 28th February 2018. New members must have joined the branch by 31st March 2018

Hats need to be tagged with new aquamarine tag. This will happen at rallies and training sessions.

Area teams

if you'd like to be considered to represent our branch in area competitions please return your reply slips asap. Team training will be starting soon.

 

Please note - all horses / ponies must have done 3 rallies since July 1st 2017 as should riders. Attendance at camp counts as 1 rally.

 

Also if anyone has 2 horses to qualify for area competitions you may if you wish do 2 sessions on different horses at the hour rallies (if there are spaces available) but you may only qualify 1 horse at an all day rally.
