Show Jumping Training

 

 

    

 

Training sessions for members who would like to be considered for the teams competing at the area SJ competition on 9th June & for those doing the area eventing

 

 

Training session at Benridge

 

Friday 31st May from 2pm

 

Sessions will be in small groups & will be split into the different levels,

cost £15 per session

Please note that if you book a session and are unable to attend then you must still pay for the session unless a replacement can be found.

 

 

 

     ·  Regional competition (max height 0.80m)

  • Open to any age of Member (Branch or Centre) with any size of horse or pony.
  • At the time of the Grassroots Area competition rider must not have previously represented their Branch or Centre at Novice level or above in any of Dressage, Show Jumping or Eventing Area Competitions. Combination to have no British Show Jumping recorded results at 90cm or above

 

   ·  Novice competition - max height 0.95m

   ·  Intermediate competition - max height 1.05m

   ·  Open (Area) competition - max height 1.15m

 

 

Please only bring the pony to the sessions which you are hoping to ride in the team.

 

To ride on the SJ team you and your pony must have completed three rallies, since July 2018, one of which must have been in the current year (camp 2018 counts as one rally) , by the competition entry date.

 

 

If you have your own trainer please try to attend one session so that we can see you and your pony in action.

 

Rule books are available from Harry Hall, cost £3, please study these carefully as there are lots of rules concerning eligibility for each level, that affect the level you can compete at.

Body Protectors

The use of body protectors is recommended for jumping.

If you choose to wear an air jacket it must only be used in addition to a normal body protector and it must not be worn under a jacket
