Area SJ 2018

Help needed from all you green fingered gardeners out there!

As you may be aware we are hosting the area SJ at Meldon on 15^th July. If anyone is able to lend us some tubs of colourful plants to decorate the arenas we’d be really grateful. We have 3 arenas to fill so the more tubs the better. Please get in touch if you can help, thank you.

Our branch is hosting the area SJ competition again this year at Meldon.

If you'd like to be considered to represent our branch at the competition please contact Lianne (07828 883494) or Michelle (07765925850) asap

You will need to attend at least one of the training sessions to be considered for the team. If you're unable to attend training please get in touch.

· Regional competition (max height 0.80m)

Open to any age of Member (Branch or Centre) with any size of horse or pony.

At the time of the Area competition rider must not have previously represented their Branch or Centre at Novice level or above in any of Dressage, Show Jumping or Eventing Area Competitions. Combination to have no British Show Jumping recorded results at 90cm or above
Riders must be fully paid up Members of The Pony Club, but with no restriction on time of joining. The 14 month exclusion as part of the Transfer Rule does not apply to the Regional Competition.

Saddlery and Dress Rules are as per the current Discipline Rule Books.

· Novice competition - max height 0.95m

· Open Novice competition - max height 0.95m (individuals only)

· Intermediate competition - max height 1.05m

· Open (Area) competition - max height 1.15m

Please only bring the pony to the training sessions which you are hoping to ride in the team.

To ride on the SJ team you and your pony must have completed three rallies, since July 2018, one of which must have been in the current year (camp 2017 counts as one rally) , by the competition entry date.

Rule books are available from PC website, cost £3, please study these carefully as there are lots of rules concerning eligibility for each level, that affect the level you can compete at.
